Quentel the Cryptid

Gothic neo-folk with a spooky aesthetic

Quentel the Cryptid is making a 3rd appearance at UtC this month with an otherworldly multimedia performance inspired by an original mythos and the works of Radiohead, David Bowie, and Elliott Smith. Quentel is one of the more eclectic acts we’ve hosted at the shop, and their stage setup truly speaks for itself. On their gear, he Quentel said, “My live setup includes a Korg synth that I’ve been taking to shows since I was 16, a Boss loop station, a TC Helicon Perform-VK, my laptop/NI Maschine, a bunch of stomp box effects, a turntable mixer with a really cool sample bank, an old DigitTech vocal processor for hard tune, my guitar, several TV screens, and a mannequin.” Quentel is celebrating the release of a new EP on October 11 as a follow-up from their 2018 debut, If You Lived Here You Would Be Home Now.
